Amogerone Volunteer Fire Company |
The hottest job in Greenwich - join us! There is no better way to give something back to our Greenwich community and our neighbors. AVFC firefighters include men and women from all walks of life. Work as a firefighter is hard but extremely rewarding. To become certified to perform interior structural firefighting, you must be over the age of 18, pass a comprehensive physical exam (including spirometry and EKG stress test), and complete the 140-hour Firefighter I course, including practical and written examinations. It requires a major commitment. AVFC will provide you with training, equipment and with the unique knowledge that you have participated in saving lives. It will be an experience you will never forget. The rewards of being part of this team are priceless. Even if you are not interested in becoming a certified firefighter, we have work for you to do! Please call or email us to find out other ways in which you can help. To volunteer your time and skills, please call Chief Steven J. Slusarz at (203) 249-2421, or email him at chief@amogerone.com. We need you! |
